The beautifully restored St. Anna’s Church, THE baroque insider tip near the State Opera in Vienna’s city center, opens its doors for contemplative Advent concerts. The program ranges from Viennese classical music to the most beautiful national and international Advent songs, which are masterfully interpreted by trumpeters and organists – a joyful and contemplative evening that gets you in the mood for the upcoming Christmas festivities and is not to be missed.

It was our first time at this concert. The ambience of the church is very nice, the wonderful acoustics. Unfortunately, the concert is only an hour long, which is a shame. There are certainly other pieces by well-known composers that would have fitted in well. Including the commentary in German and English, there is not enough time for the musical performance in my opinion

It was a very nice performance, very atmospheric. There was a real Christmas atmosphere and we really enjoyed the concert. Unfortunately, the seats were a bit too hard 🤔

The choice of pieces and the stories that were told between the individual sections, together with the ambience in the church, really put me in the mood for the Advent season. The excellent acoustics in the church perfectly supported the virtuoso playing of the musicians. I particularly like the fact that the church is heated.
