The Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace Concerts<\/b> were founded in 1994 and are primarily dedicated to the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Strauss and other composers of their era. As Austria’s cultural ambassador, the orchestra has already given acclaimed performances in Japan, Croatia, Germany, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Denmark. <\/p>\n

The musicians of the Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace Orchestra are talented young artists who have demonstrated their skills in various Austrian orchestras and concert halls. They received their training at renowned conservatories and universities worldwide. In cooperation with international singers and ballet dancers, the musical tradition is continued at Sch\u00f6nbrunn. <\/p>\n

The concerts take place in the historic Orangery of Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace, which was built around 1760 to protect orange plants over the winter. The Orangery also served as a magnificent winter garden for imperial celebrations – Emperor Joseph II in particular celebrated here surrounded by flowering plants and ornate lighting. <\/p>\n

A remarkable event was the concert in the Orangery in 1786, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri met in a musical competition.<\/p>\n

Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace itself is the largest palace in Austria and one of Vienna’s most popular sights after St. Stephen’s Cathedral, with almost 4 million visitors every year.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe concert itself is quite lovely. What an enamoring conductor - lots of fun.\nThe negative stars is for a couple reasons. First of which, classical concerts need to start on time. On a Christmas Day concert, it started 8 minutes late - unacceptable in the orchestral world. Ticket also says the office closes 30 minutes before concert start - this was a lie. Why did we bother to waste time grabbing our tickets early? Secondly, these seats are just terrible. Should create a real audience arrangement. Every seat is level to the row in front so unless you're in the first 5 rows, you can't see without straining your neck. In other words don't bother buying A tickets or even some of the B seats for that matter. In the first part of the classical concert, you will hear some of the wonderful overtures, arias and duets from the operas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. For example “Le nozze di Figaro”, “Don Giovanni” or “The Magic Flute”. The second part is Johann Straus s dedicated. The Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace Concerts usually take place in the Orangery, an annex of the palace, and in the Great Gallery in the main building.
