Classical Concerts in Vienna with Tradition and History

The Vienna Residence Orchestra, a Viennese chamber orchestra with long tradition was founded by pianist and conductor Paul Moser and his wife Sylvia Moser to perform the works of Viennese classical music to the peak of perfection.

Numerous series of events have since taken place in Vienna’s most beautiful palaces. The orchestra plays works from Mozart to Johann Strauss i...arge orchestrations. Paul Moser chose only musicians able to authentically interpret Viennese classical music such as Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven for his exclusive ensemble. They are also sensitive enough, and have the special feeling necessary, to make Viennese waltzes a great experience. The typical Viennese sound, made famous by the strings of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, is also one of the reasons for the success of this orchestra.

Sylvia Moser puts together programs that leave nothing to be desired for lovers of Viennese music. Ballet dancers from the Vienna State Opera and the Volksoper, and renowned opera singers not only interpret the musical pearls of W. A. Mozart’s music, but above all the stirring music of the Strauss family, as well as works of classic Viennese operetta.

In 1991 The orchestra was the official representative of Austria at the Mozart commemoration ceremony and played numerous concerts at the Vienna Klangbogen Festival.
